Tico trucks12/22/2023 Another nefarious aspect of this company's void of ethics is it's perceived tolerance of sexual exploitation by certain members of management in particular, who allegedly use their position as leverage in gaining sexual favors from subordinates. Be reminded, this is a company that produces of 4-6 terminal tractor vehicles per day, each valuing in the today's current market at approximately $150,000.00 In simple math, this company sells about 3M dollars per month, with estimated annual earnings of between $34- 36 million. It is also fair to mention, management's extreme resistance against awarding any significant raises to hard-working employees who often are given very short notices of weekend work and overtime requirements. ![]() In addition to this company's practice of economic exploitation of it's workforce, there exist numerous real, unaddressed issues of hazardous conditions within it's manufacturing plant, such as black mold infestation within the restroom facility shared by 50+ members of the company's production crew, bacteria-laden dust particulates line the walls of the interior of the building's years old cob web as a sign of what they are undoubtedly breathing into their lungs (several employees have reported experiencing and/or have been hospitalized for respiratory and cardiovascular issues, as well as carpal tunnel syndrome-like symptoms, which they have attributed to the poor air quality of the plant, as well as other health conditions, such as arthritis and bursitis, from working through the cold winter months, handling heavy metal parts and tools within the company's antiquated, largely non-insulated manufacturing facility, which does not offer any heating or air conditioning systems. This company is a classical example of a major corporation strategically locating its manufacturing plant into the heart of a poverty-stricken, under-educated minority community (majority African-American workforce in Ridgeland, SC and surrounding areas), sucking the life blood from them and their families while paying them pennies on the dollar compared to the mega dollars made by this corporation. ![]() Corporate and managerial greed, which leaves the often poor workforce severely exploited and underpaid.
